Peter Rorvi worked as the director of the Durban International Film Festival in South Africa from 1999 to 2012. As director of the Centre for Creative Arts (UKZN), he was also responsible for its other annual festivals - Time of the Writer, JOMBA! Contemporary Dance Experience, and Poetry Africa. His experience includes fundraising, strategy planning, festival design and implementation, intercultural exchange, training, and audience development initiatives. He has served on a variety of film juries, selection committees and film project reader panels.He was recently appointed Secretary-General of Arterial Network, an agency concerned with structural growth for arts and culture in Africa.
